Retired Justice of the Peace John Marino Jr. Endorses Webb Jay for Justice of the Peace, District 3
ST. CHARLES PARISH, La. — September 6, 2026— Webb Jay, candidate for Justice of the Peace, District 3 in St. Charles Parish, announced today that he has received the endorsement of John Marino Jr., retired Justice of the Peace for District 6.
Marino’s endorsement brings the support of someone who understands firsthand the responsibilities of serving as a Justice of the Peace and the importance of fairness, integrity, sound judgment, and service to the community.
“I proudly endorse Webb Jay for Justice of the Peace District 3. He has the experience, character, and commitment to serve our community well,” said Marino.
Jay said he is honored to receive the endorsement from a former office holder who knows what the position requires.
“John Marino served St. Charles Parish for over two decades as a Justice of the Peace, so his confidence in me means a great deal,” Jay said. “This office is about treating people fairly, listening carefully, knowing the law, and being available when people need you. I am grateful for John’s endorsement and for his years of service to St. Charles Parish.”
Jay has spent decades serving St. Charles Parish in civic, governmental, business, and community leadership roles. He currently serves as chairman of the St. Charles Parish Housing Authority and previously served as chairman of the St. Charles Parish Zoning Board of Adjustment. He is also a Louisiana Notary Public, real estate broker, and property manager. Jay served for many years as president of his local civic association and has been involved in numerous community and charitable efforts throughout the parish.
His campaign for Justice of the Peace is centered on three principles: Experience. Fairness. Results.
“A Justice of the Peace should be accessible, prepared, impartial, and committed to serving every person who comes before the court with dignity and respect,” Jay said. “I have a heart to serve, and I am asking the people of District 3 for the opportunity to put my experience to work for them.”
